Dear Friends,
With God’s grace and support from the friends, we started to serve the orphanages from 2008. First year we were around 7 members who have contributed and did the service in the Sri Sivanadha Gurukulam near Keezhkattalai, Chennai. We provided Rice, Provisions, Sweets and some old clothes to the home.
In the year 2009, God blessed us a lot for the service. With the support from almost 22 friends, we got a contribution of Rs.13500. We identified Uthavum Ullam home as the one which has the desperate need and not very much known outside. We did service on 11th October 2009 by giving Rice, Provisions, Crackers, Sweets and Baby food to the Home as our service on behalf of Diwali 2009. There are more than 130 inmates including Children, Old age people and Mentally Challenged people.
By this year beginning we got them bed sheets and computer. We did service for the 3rd time on 14th Nov 2010. This year many good hearted people came to know about the service we are doing and voluntarily came to become a part of this service. This year the number of people has risen to 53 members. We got Rice, Provisions, Sweets & Savories, Emergency Lamp, Medicines (Pain relieving creams For Old aged), Sports Articles (For children) and Calcium Syrup (For children).
